Immersive Visualization Studio (IVS)

Built on the Linux lab image, IVS is a Linux cluster in the Institute of Computing & Cybersystems.

It has one front end, eight tile nodes (Intel Core i7-3820 3.60 GHz), 32 GB RAM and two (2) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 GPUs) and eight (8) TB RAID60 storage for computation and visualization. Twenty-four (24) 46" 240 Hz Samsung LED monitors at 1920x1080 resolution work in unison to form the display wall.

A gigabit ethernet backend network serves the administrative needs of this cluster, and a 40 Gb/s InfiniBand network serves its computing needs.
